GCSE / Level 2 results day 2025
Verulam Students received their GCSE and Level 2 BTEC exam results today and are looking forward to the next stage of their education.
Special mention to an outstanding group of students who averaged grade 9 across all of their GCSE subjects: Alex Pattison, Evan Thrift, Jake Rafferty, Hudson Nickolds and Tony Tung. A further 35 students, including students such as Arthur Ridings, achieved an average grade of 7 or above, which would have been “straight A grades” in the previous grading system.
Many students demonstrated great academic progress due to their effort and commitment, with Dilan Constantini, Evan Thrift, Jake Rafferty, Jake Sezgin, Joe Ruddy and Raul Popat beating their aspirational target grade in every subject.
Headteacher Fergal Moane said “Our students should be proud of themselves, they developed an excellent work ethic during year 11 and should celebrate their achievements. They go on to a diverse set of destinations, with many staying on to our sixth form and others going to college, apprenticeships or professional football academies. We wish all of our students good luck and salute the teachers, support staff and parents and carers who supported them on their educational journey so far. I am also delighted for the school in that these results represent another year of sustained excellent performance since the pandemic and cements Verulam’s position as an inclusive, academic school where all boys can achieve their full potential. ”
